MEMBERSHIP

Interested in joining us? We’d love to have you! Please register here.  You will be asked to create an account, and pay your dues using PayPal.  If you’d rather not complete the online process, that’s OK.  Just print the Member Application and mail with your $40 payment to the address identified. Our membership year is January through December, but join us at any time. If you join in the fourth quarter of the year, you get the benefits of membership for the remainder of the current year, plus the next calendar year for the same low price!

Membership in WAMSS brings many benefits, discounted rates for our annual meeting, permission to checkout materials from our lending library, and our famous e-blasts.  Once you join, check out our Members Only page for more details.

Along with membership in the state association, you’ll also be assigned to the Eastern or Western Chapter ($5 of your annual dues goes to support your local chapter). Chapter membership provides you with more frequent and local educational and networking opportunities. Chapter meetings are held quarterly, and the current meeting information can be found on the Meet With Us page.

Need to renew your membership? Log into your account to review your information on the membership roster. If all information is accurate, submit your $40 payment via PayPal.  Similar to initial membership, if you’d rather not complete the renewal process on line, just print off the Membership Application and return it with your $40 fee to the address indicated. If any updates are needed to information, please include them on your registration form.

CERTIFICATION

Certification as a Medical Staff Services Professional is offered through the National Association Medical Staff Services.

The medical staff professional is tested on his/her knowledge of:

  • Principles of the medical staff organization
  • Accreditation knowledge
  • Medical staff law and Medical terminology
  • Administration and management
